Looks like you found yourself a collection there! I always cringe when I see these beautiful, hard-worked pieces in thrift stores, etc. NEVER do the prices BEGIN to represent the hours and skill that went into them...
The pictures are gorgeous, I often see them at car boots. Brooches I know nothing about, but often see them in charity shops and have been picking a few up now and then, I think I will wait until I have a decent enough collection and then try and sell them.
If you see them at car boots buy them to sell , If not now in the future as you can usually make money out of them , Brooches sell well in lots too , But do your research first as some brooches are well worth selling separate xxx
Oh I love them ! You'll soon sell those , they are lovely ! I have actually done the Briggs " Down the country Lane " , second one down . Its interesting to see how everyone does it slightly differently . The Pussy cat and the goldfish bowl is cute too !
They are lovely , Gutted to have to sell them , I have sold half on Ebay and covered the cost of them the rest that are on there now will be profit , The brooch is signed too , I guessed you as an expert needlewoman would appreciate them Debs xxx
The skill involved in those embroideries is astonishing, isn't it? It makes me so sad to see them dumped at charity shops and jumble sales. they must have taken months to create! x
Hello vix , I know , I wanted to keep them all but needs must at least i have appreciated them for a couple of weeks must be the same as you are when buying dresses that you have to sell lol xxx
