Just a quick one

Hello , This post is just to tell you about the co op meal deal offer  , If you did not already know about it , The Christmas meal deal on the frozen section that was £10 has now been reduced to £5.00 we have three stores within 5 mins of our house (well four actually ) we had to drive past two to a hospital appointment but the third one had them , They had run out of some of the items and there are two substitutes in here , Don't be afraid to ask as it was still showing £10 on the cabinet and at first the manager said we dont have it all so i asked if there wre substitutes and she was very happy to do it for me.

I prefer fresh but at these prices i choose not to be fussy , There two meal deals in this photograph all this cost £10 , Now i definitely don't have any room in the freezer and have enough food to lat at least two months.

Merry christmas to all my blogging friends

I have mad a mental note to blog more in the new year  as this month my health issues have flared up and i have only done what really needed to be done
I finally got the Christmas cakes Iced , The same design as last year but all white with a touch of silver , Its a very easy design to do as i am no cake decorator but even if i say so myself they always taste good .

One is ours and the other two are presents.

The Last  few years i had bought cake boards , Mincemeat , christmas cards etc in the sales, But last year all i managed to get was cranberry sauce when the co- op discontinued some lines.
So i will be defiantly on the look out for christmas bargains this year as it saves a lot of money.

But the ever used Christmas decorations have been used again.

If you buy Quality items they will last you years , I dont mean spending a fortune, The tree came from a charity shop for £5.00 , The baubles too , They cost around £10 bought in separate lots   the star was from poundland ,

The fireplace garland is about 10 years old now we bought it from boundary mills in the sale , I took a present back that i had no receipt for so i had this in exchange ,
The other decorations on the mantle shelf  were from jumble sales and the teddy bear was a christmas present from our daughter about six years ago and the reindeer was instead of my bunch of christmas flowers from her  this year.

Ebay has been left alone very much this month with the occasional listing but i have still bought some nice stock which i will share with you in the new  year , Here are just a few you might not have seen.

Wish i had a little girl to wear this , I think she a bit to big at 32.

Antique fire Accessory's

This is huge and i love it , It might be a Christmas present to myself yet.

Also i am on a serious health kick now after seeing this photo our nik took of me when i went shopping in merry hill with her , No makeup as i was unwell too ,
This will be my before picture , I have also let my hair grow as its cheaper that a short cut but it doesn't  do my any favors neither do the reindeer's     lol xxx

A very Merry Christmas to Everyone who reads my blog .

Christmas is coming

Inspired by other bloggers this week about what they do or not do for christmas i thought i would share my thoughts and plans for christmas this year , Like every other year it will be done on a budget with home bakes , Makes and using things we already have.

Christmas presents , The only people i buy for now are my parents , Our daughter and son in law and my best friend.

With my parents and friend , Its usually home made christmas cakes and sometimes a hamper of home made bakes including mince pies and shortbread.

I am not a great cake decorator , It has to be a simple design , at the moment i am  trying to find an Idea that's not been used before
These are some of the past years.

This years food will be purchased from Tesco with some vouchers we have obtained from taking out some  Insurance  , we have £80 , This will stock up our cupboards and it will last us weeks.

We already have the Turkey wich was bought for half price yellow stickered last month.

Decorations will be all from our stash we have used year after year If i ever buy any new to me decorations they come from Jumble sales or car boots.

As usual Jumble sales are replaced but Christmas fares this year so i always look forward to the New Year that's  when i find me best bargains , I need to buy more stuff now at the Beginning  of the year as i have had to rely heavily on Auctions running out of stock since october.

These are some of my latest vintage finds.

This set is in mint condition.

Sweet little sets.

This is silver.

This brooch reminds me of flying ducks.

Well worn but really pretty.

And of course there has to be some linen.

It been a while

Its been a while since my last blog but i am so busy mainly buying and  preparing the stock for my business but its been worth it,  I have picked up some great finds,But i am still being as frugal as ever ,yesterday i made these boxes for trinkets to sell on my stall,

Most of the  boxes were given to me by my friend Mel and  a few were included in job lots i have purchased from auction   , They were from gifts they had received as a family but all of them had the names of the maker of the gift embossed on the front of the box. , so i was thinking how i could get rid of the names.

Earlier this year on the market i saw some transfer sheets , Very big in the eighties but not many people want them now , Included in the 15 sheets i bought for £5.00 were the robin ones ( i have plans for the birds one i picked up too ) , So this is what i did with them

I am chuffed with the result .

I also made my first mince pies of the year yesterday.

My Beautiful vintage finds.

Stunning Marcella bedspread .

Pretty portrait brooch.

Crinoline lady is always popular.

Irish Linen sheets and pillowcases , Never used.

Double Damask Irish Linen table cloth with orignal labels

A sweet little Antique Purse.

Vintage  glass and enamel necklace.

A beaded roses vintage handbag.

On the health front i have had the test , It wasn't very nice but you just have to get on with it if you want to be diagnosed , I have polyps they say they look fine but have done a biopsy to be on the safe side as the pattern was unusual , But i need to say our local hospital has had so much bad press lately but the staff were fantastic and the procedure was made much easier by there care and professionalism,
