we don't get many jumble sales now and the ones we do get are usually in the mornings and that's a problem as hubby's balance is not good then
but I still love vintage so turned to ebay recently as you can get some bargains at the moment, not very good to sell though
I wanted some usable kitchen pans to add a bit of colour in the kitchen and these were in amazing condition they look better on the shelves than my old metal pans
Another bargain although not vintage this joules duvet cover because we upgraded from a king size quilt to a super king size the covers of this size are really expensive especially anything with a name I managed to get this one for £20 it's not new but it's immaculate.
I found some more vintage jewellery too.
Reverse carved 1980s next brooch and clip earrings
An interesting piece of silver
Enamel art deco swallow brooch.
Not sure if this is indian
This is huge it's only glass but very pretty.
Glass cameo on really long chain.

Just today I came across the details for a Jumble Sale in January - as you say they are such a rare thing now. I've made a note!
ReplyDeletei would too sue i get really excited my family think i am mad xx
DeleteWe never seem to have any jumble sales locally any more. It's a shame as I really used to enjoy them.
ReplyDeletehello tracey , i think there is a need for them as well in the present financial cliamte for some people xx
DeleteJumble sales here in Penkridge don't seem to happen anymore, although there are various car boots being held, normally full of tat! I love your Joules duvet cover, I'm very into their clothes. Do you think the bracelet could be Persian, its definitely got an 'east' feel about it and the swallow brooch is fabulous. Hugs Gill Xx
ReplyDeletehello gill we are not far from you in rushall , i have made a few freinds in the ques at jumbles and one of them is jan she lives in penkridge she tells me about a big one in penkridge every now and then she siad its full of dealers who push everyone about xx
ReplyDeleteRushall isn’t far at all is it, I haven’t seen any jumble sales round here for ages. We have 5 charity shops here and although I’ve found a bargain or two, I only buy now if it’s a need. Gill Xx

DeleteLoving your anglepoise lamp on the shelf, Eileen!
ReplyDeleteThat bangle is definitely Indian, oxidised metal and modern but very pretty nevertheless. Loving the fish, it's got a mid-century Scandinavian look to it, hasn't it?
I've not been to a jumbo in years. I find loads of amazing bargains on ebay, too! xxx
hello vix would you belive it is a b & q lamp a couple of years ago and i loved the colour so much i had to have it so i saved it until the kitchen was done its very pratical as it is a dark kitchen and when i need extra light its perfect ohh it does look like a fish only put the back part on must have deleted the other photo by accident , its germen and quite collectable , thanks for the info on the indian braclet xxx
DeleteThanks for the update! That German piece doesn't look like a fish at all now, I love it even more!
DeleteThat lamp was a great buy. We've got a couple of Pifco angelpoise lamps and an amazing 1960s one by Herbert Terry (the inventor of the anglepoise lamp) called a "Cyclops*, it's a crazy looking thing. Cost me £5 from Forces Support! xxx
What a wonderful haul. Absolutely love the Joules duvet cover. Love Amanda. x
