The Stretching of the food budget is still going well this weeks spend was just over £10 as we needed some fresh salad and fruit , Potatoes & Yeast , Next Tuesday will be three weeks so i will take stock of what we have left and see how much further we can stretch it , This week we repeated two meals , Pizza & Burgers these are quick meals one for the day i do the market and the other for a day after as it drains me. So planning the meals like this really helps , We also had a chicken dinner and a Chinese curry out of the chicken portions .

looks lovely as usual and I like the day bed and the patchwork quilt. I have bought an electric pressure cooker and am just about to make my first meal in it. Thought it would help keep the costs down a little bit. It was on offer in Wilkos. So we shall see how we get on. have a beef and onion stew to do with a reduced pack of casserole/stewing beef some chopped carrot and onion. Thought it would be a quick way of getting a meal of an evening especially for when using chicken thighs or legs as well as using the slow cookers for pudding and stocks etc. you are doing well on the food front - I hope you are feeling a lot better than you are. keep up the good work take care. pattypan xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Patricia , I was put off from pressure cookers years ago when people made them explode lol , Didn't realise they did electrical ones though , I love the slow cooker , I have even used it all through the summer xxx
DeleteIndian or Oriental .... not sure..but there's something Arabic about it I think .Is it a carpet ?
ReplyDeleteHello debs , No its a throw/ bedspread type thing lol xxx
DeleteThose green curtains are absolutely gorgeous! Love the patchwork bedspread, too. I recognise that purple polyester patterned fabric, I think I've sold a dress in the same design.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures look great! x
Lovely pictures , I really love the hex quilt, you have a very good eye, xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful lot of pictures ... I think there's a Tissot print there, and perhaps a Beatrice Parsons one (she was well-known for painting gardens), the one with the doves, but I could be wrong, of course, and I think that's another Redoute print of a rose, too! And the bedspreads are lovely. The one that looks Oriental is exquisite - I'd be so tempted to keep that.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love that deep rose pink paint for the walls, it's delightful.
The one with the doves is a Beatrice parsons print , The rose is also a Redoute print, No not keeping the bedspread its not my taste and It was bought to sell xxx
