Well i have had quite a few issues to deal with , Hence no blogging or reading any blogs come to mention it , Health issues rearing there ugly head again a bit of a worry with a blood test and when i have things on my mind i go to pot ,
Cant get organised , Cant concentrate , I wish i was one of those people who could function normally with issues but i cant and have now stopped even trying ,
So what have i managed to do , I have found some fantastic finds and The dressing table for the spare room has ended up in our bedroom as i love it more than the one i painted green ,
I bought my new sofa and we have had a new rise and recline chair for Dave after having cheap ones for the last two years we now have one that fits him properly and has a five year guarantee , I will be posting the living room re vamp soon,
xxxx
Pretty things are a great way to take your mind off the uglier things in life. I hope the medical issues turn out to be nothing too scary.
ReplyDeleteLove that cheeky fox. He's lovely! xxx
Still waiting to have a re test in two weeks hope your hip is easing xxx
DeleteSo sorry to hear about your health problems and hope you will soon be feeling much better.
ReplyDeleteI love the pale green walls and the dressing table, and do spy a P J Redoute rose print? The reason I mention this is that we're currently decorating our bedroom (Farrow & Ball 'Bone' estate emulsion on the walls and it looks for all the world like pale green!) and I'm having some rose prints by Redoute (sorry, can't manage the accent) framed for over the headboard of the bed.
Do you buy all these things for yourself or do you sell them? You have bought such lovely pieces I'd hate to part with them if I'd bought them. What is the floral fabric? It is on a chaise longue or what? And those linen tea towels are a right 'find'! Well done!

Hello Margaret , Yes they are Redoute prints and some rose embroidery's but our paint is just dulux lol , I buy for myself and to sell , If you are on facebook my page is Shabby chic vintage cottage , The fabric on the bed is just a vintage floral pair of curtains , They are actually on Ebay at the moment , Wish i could keep them but i cant lol xxxx
DeleteI hope you get a very good price for the curtains because if you buy quality fabric new, it's a costly exercise. We recently decided to have new curtains made for our bedroom (only to windowsill length, i.e. 8 metres in total, two widths of 54" material per curtain) and there will be little change from ... well, it's a lot of money, the fabric being Sanderson, and lined, too.
DeleteWe choose F&B paint not just because we love their unusual colours, all knocked-back colours, but because of the quality of the paint, both to apply and the low VOCs so they are more healthy and have little to no smell. And they have more natural pigments in them, too. It's really lovely paint and if you like the colours you choose and don't want to decorate frequently (which we certainly don't) then I do recommend it. Just bought their shade called HOuse White, which is really like clotted cream, for the bedroom furniture (in eggshell, I don't like high gloss paint. I tell you, I'm a fussy beggar!)
PS Just taken four of my Redoute prints to be framed. Thank goodness I inherited the book from which they have been taken, having them professionally framed is costly, too. We hazarded a guess as to how much each print might be and then were told more than double that amount! So thank goodness the actual prints came as a freebie!
