Hello thank you all for your concern, After initially been told its a rare form of migraine with my husband, then the stroke doctor said there was no stroke on the MRI, so today the neurologist might I add was in her early sixties and had a wealth of experience behind her showed us the pinpoints in the brain where the strokes were indicated, Now we just need to look into how to manage them I have just blogged this post to let you know what has happened xxx
Worrying, but at least you now have a firm diagnosis from someone who knew what she was talking about, and can move forward. Thank you for letting us know. I hope you can manage hubby's condition effectively.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you have answers at last.
ReplyDeleteHugs-x-
So sorry to hear about the strokes but so glad that you have some answers finally. Hopefully now they have a diagnosis it can be managed better. Take care of yourself too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting the news, I am so glad you had a good neurologist who could find out the real problem.
ReplyDeleteHi Shabby, at least you now know what you are dealing with. I wondered whether it was Ischaemic stroke when you first mentioned. My father in law developed this and he was in his late seventies when he was diagnosed. He managed his condition for another 10 years or so afterwards and dealing with his wife and looking after her with Alzheimers. I think they gave him a form of aspirin then to keep the blood thin and moving. Hopefully you can now get into a rhythm and programme of getting him back on an even keel. Just take care. Pattypan xx
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I'm shocked that the 'stroke doctor' was unable to pick out the mini strokes from the MRI. Never the less, you have a diagnosis and can go forward from here. I hope that you are having some success with your condition and you'll both have better health to look forward to. Take care.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear this Eileen, but good to hear you have some answers .xx
ReplyDeleteHopefully a step forward. How are you keeping? Love and prayers for you both. x
ReplyDeleteIt must be reassuring to know what the problem is and now to get on with some treatment. I had a couple of mini strokes 3 years ago and have been on Aspirin and statins to keep me going and I have been going well since then. I try to eat more vegs and fish and less bread and meat, it is difficult sometimes but I just do my best and try and stay positive which helps. Hope things improve now that you have some answers.
ReplyDeleteO my..i send you both best wishes and hopefully some help for this..bless you both..my hubby suffers migraines something terrible..now i wonder if he should go for a check up..fingers crossed you can now both manage this and get the help you need.

I am sending you both my love and best wishes. The diagnosis is frightening at first, but now you know what you are dealing with. My father had the same problem, which was managed successfully for many years.
ReplyDeleteThat's reassuring Tracey , Thanks for that xxx
